STORAGE CONDITIONS:Ursodiol should be stored at roomtemperature, between 68 F to 77 F (20 C to 25 C). It can be exposed totemperatures between 59 F to 86 F (15 C to 30 C) for shorter periods of time,such as when transporting it. Store in a cool, dry place. Store in a tightlyclosed container.

HOW TO USE:Four to six tabletsof 150 mg, two to three tablets of 300 mg or two tablets of 450 mg per day(600- 900 mg ursodeoxycholic acid per day). Two tablets should always betaken after dinner. When taking a dose two or three times daily: for example,one tablet after lunch and two tablets after dinner.

HOW URSODEOXYCHOLICACID WORKS:Ursodeoxycholic acid (UDCA), also known as ursodiol, works throughmultiple mechanisms to protect the liver and dissolve cholesterolgallstones. It alters the composition of bile, reduces cholesterolsaturation in bile, protects liver cells, and modulates the immunesystem. 

PHARMACOKINETICSOF URSODEOXYCHOLIC ACID:Ursodeoxycholic acid (UDCA) is a bile acid primarily absorbed inthe small intestine and then processed in the liver, where it's conjugated withtaurine or glycine before being excreted into bile. It's known for itsrole in dissolving cholesterolgallstones and treating cholestatic liver diseases. 

SIDE EFFECTS OF URSODEOXYCHOLIC ACID: The normal side effects caused by UrsodeoxycholicAcid are Acid or sour stomach, belching bloating or swelling of face, arms, hands,lower legs, or feet, difficulty with moving, loss or thinning of the hair,rapid weight gain, stomach discomfort or upset, tingling of the hands or feet,unusual weight gain or loss.

PRECAUTIONS: Take this medicineexactly as directed by your doctor. Do not take more of it, do not take itmore often, and do not take it for a longer time than your doctor ordered.
