HOW BISOPROLOL WORKS:Bisoprolol act as a beta blocker and blocks the β-1 adrenergic receptors and bythis Bisoprolol relaxes the blood vessels and slow down the heart rate anddecrease the blood pressure and pain in chest.

PHARMACOKINETICS: Bisoprololabsorbed in GI track after taken orally. The bioavaibility of Bisoprolol is90%. Bisoprolol takes 2-4 hours to reach the peak plasma concentration. Bisoprololbinds with 30% serum proteins. The half life of Bisoprolol is 10-12hours. Theexcretion of Bisoprolol is done by both renal and hepatic pathways.

SIDE EFFECTS OF BISOPROLOL: The side effects ofBisoprolol are dizziness, slow heartbeats, tiredness, reduced blood flow arecommonly seen in patients. If side effects like cold hands or feet seen inpatient, contact your doctor. Some serious side effects like dizziness,fainting, slow heartbeats, mood swings, trouble in breathing seen in patientimmediately contact to your doctor and take advice.
