HOW LINAGLIPTINWORKS:Linagliptinworks by inhibiting the DPP-4 enzyme, which results in increased levels ofincretin hormones. These hormones increase insulin release and decreaseglucagon levels in the circulation in a glucose-dependent manner, therebylowering blood glucose levels.

SIDE EFFECTSOF LINAGLIPTIN:Commonside effects include upper respiratory tract infection, stuffy or runny nose,sore throat, cough, and joint pain. Rare but serious side effects includepancreatitis, allergic reactions, and hypoglycemia (especially if used withother antidiabetic agents).

PRECAUTIONS: Inform your doctor ifyou are allergic to Linagliptin or any other medications. Caution is advised ifyou have a history of pancreatitis, kidney or liver problems, or heart failure.Monitor blood glucose levels regularly.
