Silodosin is an alpha-blocker used to treat enlarged prostate. Silodosin is a drug that is used to treat BPH. It is an alpha-adrenoceptor antagonist. In the urethra and bladder, silodosin blocks alpha A1 receptors. Silodosin works by relaxing smooth muscles so that urination is more comfortable. Once a day, take Silodosin tablet/capsule with food. Seek medical advice before taking the medication. You should not chew or open Silodosin capsules. Do not store it in the refrigerator or bathroom. Keep away from direct sunlight and heat. Do not give it to children or pets.

HOW TO USE: Take Silodosin tablet/capsule orally with food one time per day. Take doctors advice before taking medicine. Siodosin comes in capsule so do not chew it don't open it. 

HOW SILODOSIN WORKS: Silodosin blocks the alpha A1 receptors which located in urethra and bladder. By blocking these receptors Silodosin relaxes the smooth muscles and by this process the flow of urination improves. 

PHARMACOKINETICS OF SILODOSIN: Normally Silodosin absorbed by the gut. The AUC and peak plasma level may effected by the food.The bio availability of Silodosin is 32%. The metabolism of Silodosin is done in liver. The half-life of Silodosin is approximately 13.38.07 hrs. The rout of elimination of Silodosin is renal 33.5% and by faecal 54.9%. 

SIDE EFFECTS OF SILODOSIN: The side effects of Silodosin are ejaculation problem, fainting, headache, dizziness, light headedness. If you have side effect like fainting or weakness contact your doctor and take advice. There are some rare side effects like rash, allergy,and redness of skin, itching or trouble in brething. 

PRECAUTIONS OF SILODOSIN: Tell your pharmacist if you have any allergic reaction to the Silodosin. Also tell your doctor if you have any disease related to lung, heart, liver or kidney.
