APPLICATIONS OF DESLORATADINE:Desloratadine is used in adults and children to relieve hayfever and allergy symptoms, including sneezing; runny nose; and red, itchy,tearing eyes. It is also used to relievesymptoms of urticaria (hives; red, itchy raised areas of the skin), includingitching and rash. 

HOW TO USE: Desloratadinecomes as a tablet, oral solution (liquid), and an orally disintegrating tabletto take by mouth. It is usually taken once a day with or without food. The anticholinergic activity of H1-antagonists may result in thickenedbronchial secretions in the respiratory tract thereby aggravating asthma or anasthmatic attack. 

PHARMACOKINETICS OF DESLORATADINE:Desloratadine is well absorbed from the gut and reaches highest blood plasma concentrationsafter about three hours. In the bloodstream, 83to 87% of the substance are bound to plasma proteins. Desloratadine ismetabolized to 3-hydroxydesloratadine in a three-step sequence in normalmetabolizers.
